 TRACK & FACILITY RULES

ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK, THE SPARETIME R/C CLUB IS NOT RESPOSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY OR ANY RELIABILTY

We promote family oriented racing for both adults and children. Alcoholic beverages, profanity, and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Fighting, foul language, or any type of misconduct will not be tolerated; membership can and will be revoked or suspended per club bylaws.

Pick-up your pit area and all of your trash, it is your responsibility We are not your maid!

You MUST have read and signed a copy of the Release and Waiver of Liability.

R/C cars may not be operated (driven) outside the confines of the track. Only registered racers may drive their vehicles on the track. These rules take effect the moment registration is called for.

Never drive in the reverse direction of travel on the track, for ANY reason.

Transmitters may not be turned on for any reason during practice without the matching frequency clip.

During and in between races, transmitter may not be turned on for any reason unless the driver is in that race or has permission from the race director. Turning your transmitter on in the pits will result in disqualification from the race.

There is a 3 car minimum to make a “class”.

You are allowed only one person in your pit during the qualifying rounds and a maximum of two during the main events. There are no exceptions to this; this is for the safety of the pit crews, and everyone in pit lane.

Immediately after your race, return your vehicle to the impound area (or suitable safe area), return your transponder to the transponder rack and go to your marshaling position. This includes DNF (did not finish) & DNS (did not start) vehicles as well. The next race will not start until all transponders from the previous race are returned and all corner marshals are in place. Anyone delaying this process will have one lap deducted from his/her best qualifying time. Repeat offenders will have one lap deducted from their main race. The only exception to this rule is when the driver has a designated assistant to perform their duties and has informed the race director in advance.

After a race, you will have 5 minutes to return transmitter, transponder and vehicle to their areas and take your marshaling position. A one-lap penalty will be deducted from your best qualifier or main.

Corner marshals will not be smoking, drinking eating, talk to others, and talking on cell phones or anything that will slow their reaction times down.

All drivers are required to corner marshal for the race immediately following his/her race, or otherwise designated race. You will be docked a lap for failure to marshal your assigned corner.

Watch your corner, not the race. The drivers are counting on you to be alert. Use your best efforts at all times. Corner Marshals are NOT allowed to repair any vehicle failing on the track if it interferes with the marshaling of other vehicles. Vehicles re-entering the track, must do so at the point of exit and ONLY if not in front of or interfering with any other vehicle in the race.

During the qualifiers, your starting positions (also called a grid) are based on your vehicle number. Prior to the start of each race, The Race Director will call out the grid. During The mains, your starting position is based on your best qualifying time and will be announced at the beginning of your main.

Numbers must be used on the vehicles. At least three (3) numbers are to be used on each vehicle. Place one on the front window and one on each side of the vehicle. If we can not see the number on your vehicle, we can not guarantee an accurate lap count.

Any and all racing and chassis rules may be checked at random by the Race Director or Track Official.

Transponders are to be mounted as far forward as possible inside the vehicle body behind the front shock tower. Do not mount them in a vertical position, they need to lay flat so the wire can pick up the signal.

At the end of a race, the Race Director will announce “Finish the lap your on”. You should continue racing until you pass under lap counting loop and pull over out of the way of vehicles still finishing the race. Vehicles are NOT to take an extra lap after the finish.

No smack talking, hitting, stomping, or any other misconduct on the drivers’ stand. You will receive a one-lap penalty in your best qualifier or main, if it happens again, you will be disqualified from the race.

Corner cutting: a ten second penalty in a qualifier, or a one-lap penalty in the A-main. If the driver stops in the area of the infraction and allows the vehicle that was immediately behind him/her when the corner was cut to pass, no penalty is applicable.

If you fail to abide by these rules, you will be asked to leave. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.

I have read the Track & Facility Rules, fully understand them, and agree to abide by them at all times including during all events.
